Issue
If you use a CDN live streaming resource as an origin, it may cause a poor cache hit ratio on HLS.
This happens due to a default Wowza configuration that includes unique session IDs into the HLS playlist, rendering them uncacheable.
Environment
OnApp CDN
Resolution
To improve the cache hit ratio, please refer to the instruction on how to configure Wowza as an HTTP caching origin.
Additional Information
The future OnApp releases would provide a new option to remove unique session IDs from Wowza HLS playlists.
