Question
Something isn't quite right or as I expected in OnApp, how can I submit a bug report or feature request?
Answer
Bug Reports
Bug reports can be created via our Support Portal at help.onapp.com and prefixing the subject with ‘Bug Report’ when creating a new support ticket.
Please include full steps to replicate the bug. If appropriate, please provide us some example or test user, virtual server, or other element on your cloud that we can use to verify the error as you are seeing it exactly. Screenshots, screencasts and other media that will help better to describe the problem and how to replicate it are appreciated.
Support may access your cloud to obtain additional information, such as from server logs or the UI, to better document the issue and its occurrence on your cloud. Such access in response to a BUG report would be observational only - if it is needed to possibly disrupt your cloud services to replicate the issue, then it is policy for Support to ask permission before proceeding.
After Support has examined and/or replicated the Bug, the bug report is escalated for further review by the developers. Bug reports are regularly checked and once verified added to an appropriate milestone for resolution.
Feature Request
Feature requests can be created via this link: New Feature Request
Please include a full description of the feature you would like to see, along with an in depth explanation of exactly what behavior you would like to see from the feature. Our Product team regularly review feature requests and may in some cases contact you to discuss the request in further detail.
