Question
How do I failback a VS?
Environment
OnApp with draas.io
Answer
Once you are sure all the issues are resolved on your own local cloud you will need to failback any VS that is running on the provider cloud. The failback process is in two stages.
- Click Start Replication on the VS details page on the dashboard. This replicates the data back to your original cloud and prepares a replacement for the VS there.
- Once all the data is synchronized, you will see the Failback button appear. Clicking on it stops the VS on the DRaaS Provider side, stops the replication and boots the new VS on your original cloud.
Once the VS is running correctly on your cloud, replication is re-enabled between your VS and the DRaaS Provider. All this is clearly indicated on the Dashboard.
