Question
Why would a Cloudboot Hypervisor misreport the number of cores? For example, I know I have 8 physical cores, but it's only reporting 2.
Environment
OnApp All Versions
Cloudboot Hypervisors
Answer
There are BIOS updates that default the number of cores used per CPU effectively disabling the remaining CPU cores in APIC and SRAT tables. This should be resolvable by simply going into the BIOS and allowing the remaining cores to be used.
