Question
Getting the following error when adding a disk to a Virtual Machine:
Disk has not been added: Max Disks count limit have reached.
Environment
OnApp 3.x and newer
Answer
OnApp has the following system limits per Virtual Machine:
- 15 for Xen VMs*
- 20 for KVM virtio VMs
- 4 for KVM non-virtio VMs
- 3 for KVM FreeBSD based VMs
- 124 for VMware VMs
These limits cannot be changed or bypassed. If more disks are needed, another Virtual Machine will have to be created.
