Can I add an additional public/private network?

Answer

Yes it is possible to set up an additional network:

  1. Ensure you are using a trunk port from the switch to your hypervisors for VM networking, this is required to add more then one network to a single hypervisor network interface.
  2. Create a new network in Settings -> Networks menu. Indicate a label for the new network and the VLAN ID.
  3. Next, add an IP range to the new network (this can be public or private IPs).
  4. Assign this network to a hypervisor or HV zone in Hypervisor (HV zone) -> Manage networks menu. Specify the same network interface as you currently use for your primary network.
